Imortal is a sequel to the 2008 ABS-CBN fantasy series, Lobo. The previous series also starred Angel Locsin opposite Piolo Pascual. However, Lobo story-wise only included wolves without any reference of vampires. Although Locsin must be playing an almost identical character, it is revealed that her character in Imortal will be the daughter of her character in Lobo, which would explain the resemblance.

Banana Split is a comedy gag show broadcast in ABS-CBN every Saturday evening featuring Angelica Panganiban, RR Enriquez, the Parekoy main cast: Jason Gainza, Zanjoe Marudo and John Prats, and comedians Pokwang and Pooh.

The season 1 finale was on February 21, 2009, followed the premiere of Season 2 on February 28, 2009 of the following saturday. The feud between the De Silva and Fortalejo families started when Romano Fortalejo refused to marry Alicia De Silva because he was in love with Ana.
